Charitable Fashion: Botkier

Posted on March 20, 2011

Switching reins from all the American Red Cross postings this week, I wanted to highlight Oxfam International. Oxfam works with partners and communities to eradicate poverty and combat injustice any where the local government is unwilling to help its people. They also aid during natural disasters where the people and government are not able to help themselves.

Designed by Monica Botkier and actress Lake Bell, it is a suede bag with neutral color-blocking, a turn-lock closure and can be worn cross-body or by handle. Botkier will donate 50% of each sale of this exclusive bag to Oxfam.

Now, I’m not personally a fan of Lake Bell. Could be because I don’t find  her much of an actress or it could be because there is a really unflattering picture of me standing behind her while we were both attending Lucky Shops. But even with that in mind, the bag is cute.
